Kiloport provides waste pickup, donation pickup, ecommerce, and community marketplace services through its website and mobile applications. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, and how users can control their data.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly and information needed to run location-based services:
- Account information: Name, phone number, email address, account type, and support preferences.
- Location information: Saved pickup address, map-selected coordinates, pincode, service zone, and live trip location where required for pickup tracking.
- Pickup and marketplace data: Waste items, images, estimated and actual weights, buyer assignment details, direct seller payment status, used-item listings, contact requests, and chat messages.
- Ecommerce data: Cart items, product orders, shipping address, payment status, return/refund requests, reviews, and vendor tracking updates.
- Device and usage data: Device tokens for notifications, IP address, browser/app diagnostics, and interaction logs used for security and reliability.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use this information to operate and improve Kiloport:
- To check whether your location is inside an active service zone.
- To create waste pickup or donation requests and route them to eligible nearby Buyers.
- To show seller-safe pickup details such as accepted Buyer, assigned driver, vehicle number, trip status, and OTP state.
- To process ecommerce orders, refunds, returns, coupons, product reviews, and support requests.
- To send OTP, order, pickup, chat, contact-request, and safety notifications.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, duplicate accounts, invalid KYC information, and unauthorized access.
3. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell personal information. We share only what is required to complete a service:
- Approved Buyers and pickup staff: Seller name, pickup address, item details, schedule, OTP state, and contact details required for safe pickup.
- Vendors and ecommerce providers: Shipping address, order items, tracking details, payment status, and return/refund context.
- Payment, messaging, hosting, notification, and analytics providers: Limited data required to process Razorpay payments, send notifications, host the platform, and maintain service reliability.
- Legal or safety requests: Information may be shared when required by law, to protect users, or to investigate abuse.
4. Data Security
We use access controls, secure cookies/tokens, server-side validation, and operational review flows to protect user data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so users should protect OTPs, verify pickup persons, and report suspicious activity immediately.
5. Location, OTP, and Safety
Location is used to check serviceability, assign nearby Buyers, and support trip tracking. Sellers should share the final pickup OTP only after the required payment or handover rules are satisfied. Kiloport may retain pickup safety records for dispute resolution and compliance.
6. Your Choices
You can update profile details, saved location, notification preferences, and account information from the web or mobile app. You may request account deletion or data wipe review from the mobile profile/account-control area or by contacting support. Some records may be retained where required for legal, safety, tax, transaction, or dispute purposes.
